Remodeling Contractor Serving Muscatine and the Quad Cities
Houck's Construction is the home remodeling contractor Muscatine homeowners trust for kitchen, bath, basement, and whole-home projects. We handle every phase, from first conversation to final walkthrough.
Our Services
Honest Remodeling Services for Homes Across the Quad Cities
Homes along the Mississippi River towns of Muscatine, Davenport, and Bettendorf tend to carry a lot of history. Some were built decades before open floor plans and modern wiring were the norm, and many have gone through at least one prior remodel that didn't hold up the way it should have.
As a remodeling contractor working throughout Muscatine, Wilton, West Liberty, Iowa City, and the Illinois Quad Cities, we see that history up close. Whether we're opening a cramped galley kitchen, gutting a dated bathroom, or finishing out an unused basement, our work accounts for the actual bones of the house, not just the finish materials.
Home renovation only pays off when the contractor doing it communicates clearly and shows up when promised. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every remodeling project we take on, large or small. Whether a kitchen feels outdated, a bathroom needs a true renovation, or a whole-home remodel is finally ready to happen, we handle every phase ourselves, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.

Why Muscatine homeowners choose us
What You Get With Houck's Construction
Travis Glynn founded Houck's Construction on the idea that a remodeling contractor should treat every client like a neighbor, not a transaction. That means straight answers, a crew that respects your home, and a finished project that matches what was discussed up front.
Here's what homeowners can expect when they hire us for a remodel:
- A general contractor who manages every trade on the job, so you have one point of contact start to finish
- Clear, written timelines before demo day, with real updates while work is underway
- Craftsmanship that accounts for how your specific home was originally built, not a one-size approach
- A crew that treats your home the way we'd treat our own, cleaning up at the end of every work day
- Local knowledge of the Quad Cities area, from older Muscatine homes to newer builds in Bettendorf and Davenport
- A team that stands behind the work after the final walkthrough, not just until the check clears

Houck's Construction was great! I needed soffit repairs and new siding on a chimney box on my house. They were able to meet at a great time and the work was done very well and the material was solid quality. Prices were very fair and work was done promptly when materials arrived. I would use them again for any work I need done.
