West Liberty, IA General Contractor for Remodeling and Custom Decks
Houck's Construction is the local, hands-on team homeowners in West Liberty trust for kitchens, baths, and custom decks. We show up on time and treat every home like our own.
Home Renovation and Deck Work Built for West Liberty
West Liberty is a tight-knit town, and we've gotten to know its streets well, from the homes near Wapsinonoc Creek to the neighborhoods a short walk from the Amtrak depot downtown. A lot of the houses here were built decades ago, which means remodels often involve working around older framing, plaster walls, or outdated wiring, things our team has handled plenty of times across Muscatine County.
Whether you're updating a kitchen in a farmhouse just outside town or adding a deck to a newer build near the West Liberty Comets' athletic fields, we plan each project around your home's actual condition, not a generic template. We also know the practical side of working here: permitting through the city, typical lot sizes, and how West Liberty's weather affects deck materials and timing.
As a general contractor and deck builder based nearby in Muscatine, IA, we're close enough to West Liberty to respond quickly, check in during the project, and be around after the job wraps if you have questions.

Houck's Construction was great! I needed soffit repairs and new siding on a chimney box on my house.
